American Craftsman Lodge Exterior
This is the 2nd custom home we’ve completed for this client. They wanted to integrate a little “Northwest Lodge” into their early 1900’s American Craftsman Bungalow design. The shaved timber columns on the porches and the metal railings give it a more rustic look and unique feel. The shingles are Northeastern White Cedar which is rarely seen in the PNW. They lay down perfectly and compliment the painted Cedar siding and trim colors. The large porch ceilings are Knotty Pine and the decking is Iron Wood, all adding to the “Lodge” look and feel. The landscaping is beautifully executed in a “Northwest Asian” theme that artfully creates a natural flow that truly compliments the architecture. These night photos remind me of Thomas Kincaid painting. This client had a very specific vision of their dream house and it was our pleasure to work with them and help make their dream…..a reality!!
